  • Make a list and check it twice – This isn’t just for fairy tales, it’s also great advice. Write out a list of everyone you will need to shop for this season. At the top of the list, put a total dollar amount for spending this holiday season. Next to each name on your list, put a dollar amount to spend on that person. This will help avoid overspending and blowing your budget on one person.
Some of the best gifts are the ones that cost the least – Homemade gifts are such special gifts
  • Some of the best gifts are the ones that cost the least – Homemade gifts are such special gifts
to give and save you money! A handmade card with a special memory you shared together, homemade baked goodies, running errands for a busy family or volunteering your time for loved ones make wonderful gifts
  • Once you have made your Christmas shopping list, carry it with you at all times – Make a copy in
your phone, keep it on a piece of paper and keep it with you. This will help remind you what you
need to buy and keep you on schedule throughout the holiday season
  • Divide and conquer – Divide your list into four sections, one for each of the next four weeks
before the holidays. This will help avoid spending your entire budget at once and it will spread
out the spending evenly and easily. Plan ahead when you are shopping and know which stores
you want to shop at. Always refer back to your list for a handy reminder!

With just these few simple tricks, you will be ready to enjoy the holidays with your loved ones with as little stress and worry as possible. With a little bit of planning, you’ll be heading into the New Year on budget!
